Company History

Pumabuild was formed back in 1998 when we began to specialise in the Ford Puma, as time has gone by we have grown from strength to strength with the help of our ever growing customer base, we are now the largest Puma and Racing Puma Specialists in Europe. We have customers from all over the World.

We stock a large amount of parts for the Racing Puma, Standard Puma, Focus RS, Standard Focus, Fiesta and Ka, in our Parts department not only do we stock standard ford parts we are also suppliers and stockists for quality products such as :- AVO, Bailey, Blitz, Brembo, Castrol, Denso, Eibach, Goodridge, Ford OE, G-Max, Grayston, Helix Autosport, K&N, Magnecor, Meguiars, NGK, OMP, Pagid, Phillips, Piaa, Piper, Pipercross, Pirelli, Poppy Coral, Powerflex, Primary Designs, Quaife, Rallye Sport, Red.Dot, Richbrook, Sabelt, Sparco, Samco Sport, Speedline, Sytec, Toyo Tyre, and many more.

As well as selling parts over the counter and via mail order me also have full workshop facilities to enable us to carry out work to the highest standard, we have 4 ramps, laser 4 wheel tracking, Air Conditioning Service Centre, Key cutting and Programming, PCM/ECU Reprogramming, Tyre Fitting, Balancing, Diagnostic Code Reading, Engine rebuilds, Gearbox rebuilds, All specialist tools to enable us to carry out work to a high standard. On site Tool Room for any Machining etc…

We also have a bodyshop at a different location which is capable of excellent results from a slight scratch to a full respray. We also carry out restoration work and shell changes.

If you car is un-drivable we do have our own recovery service which can collect you vehicle.

Company Achievements

May 2003 we fitted a Genuine Racing Puma 167bhp Engine into Russ Whitefield’s Silver Puma making this the first Racing Puma powered standard Puma. Russ’s car was featured in Fast Ford January 2004

June 2003 we held a trackday at Mallory Park for our customers

July 2003 we fitted a Genuine Racing Puma 155bhp engine into James Townsend’s car making it the first Racing Puma powered Fiesta Zetec S.

October 2003 we fitted a 250bhp Focus RS engine in to a racing Puma with outstanding results. 0-60 5.8 sec Top speed of 143mph making our racing puma the fastest Racing Puma in the world. Featured on the Front Cover of Fast Ford August 2004.

November 2003 we held an open day which was featured in Fast Ford (Feb 2004) as a Company Profile.

March 2004 we contributed our services with the help from Robert Connery and Kate Umfrebille to produce the best buying guide for the Racing Puma which was printed in the March 2004 issue of Performance Ford.

June 2004 we went to Bruntingthorpe proving grounds with 12 Puma’s and competed in a shootout which was held by Performance Ford Magazine. We had excellent results and had the fastest 2 wheel drive Puma on the day. We were only 0.2mph behind a 4wd Cosworth YB powered Puma.

July 2004 we attended RSOC show at Castle Combe and won the best Trade Stand Award.

August 2004 we achieved 328bhp 450 Nm from a standard Focus RS by fitting a full Primary Designs exhaust system and a boost controller set at 18psi. No other modifications were made.
At the time we were the first company to get over 300bhp on a standard turbo.

September 2004 we fitted a Brembo 4 Pot Front Brake Conversion which was supplied by Augusto at Red.Dot Racing which returned excellent results, the results were featured in Performance Ford Nov 2004

September 2004 we fitted a 265bhp Focus RS engine into Simon Hoppers Immaculate Mk6 Fiesta making this the most powerful Mk6 Fiesta to date, Will be featured in Performance Ford soon.

October 2004 We held another Trackday at Mallory Park for our Customers and friends Thanks to Dave Moore and Andrew Strawberry Brown for featuring this day in Performance Ford Jan 2005.

October 2004 we rebuilt Andy Shaw’s Focus RS (the copper coloured one) which increased the power from 265bhp to 312bhp which is a good result as the car still runs a std Turbo.

November 2004 we contributed our services and fitted a Primary Designs Exhaust System which was tested and featured in Performance Ford Jan 2005.

Since this time we have grown from strength to strength and we are now the largest independent specialist in the U.K
