Engine

Stage 1

The stage 1 kit includes a Piper 2 1/4”bore stainless Steel exhaust system with a 3” rolled out tail pipe which comes with a 10 year warranty a panel filter is also fitted to allow more air enter the engine, to complement these two modifications we fit a module to the PCM which we program in house.
Total Power increase to be expected of 10-15bhp. - Cost £500.00

Stage 2

The stage 2 kit includes all the above items in the Stage 1 kit but with these additions. Tubular 4 branch manifold also made by Piper which can also retain a 200 cell sport catalyst (at extra cost) and a slightly different map programmed into the PCM.
Total Power increase to be expected of 15-20bhp. - Cost £825.00

Stage 3

The stage 3 kit includes all items from the stage 1&2 kits but with these additions. A pair of piper cams which are machined from blanks and fitted into you existing cylinder head and re-shimmed to gain maximum results. The cams are quite mild and retain the same duration but they produce 0.040” more lift. Using these cams produce good results and the car remains driveable without any flat spots they are so good the engine still retains its 850 rpm idling speed. With the cam work we change the map in the PCM and increase the rev limit from 6,500 to 7,250 which will enable 60mph to be archived in second gear.

Stage 4

The Stage 4 kit includes all items from stage 1, 2 and 3 kits but also includes a cylinder head which is gas flowed and ported, while the is removed from the vehicle we also port and match the inlet manifold to the head to reduce air turbulence entering the engine.
Typical power increase of 30-35bhp - Cost £2000.00

Stage 5

The Stage 5 kit includes all items from the Stage 1,2,3 and 4 kits but also runs larger valves in the cylinder head to do this we have to pocket the pistons so there is sufficient clearance between valve and pistons. Again we use a different map in the PCM to control the modified motor.
Typical power increase of 35-40bhp - Cost £2,300.00

Stage 6

Engine is removed from car and disassembled the Block is bored and steel liners are inserted which are slightly oversize this increases the capacity of the engine slightly which makes it a little nearer 1700cc. We then use steel rods and ROSS Racing pistons which are custom made to the new bore size. The big valve head is fitted with some 285 duration cams and the variable cam timing is removed and the inlet cam is locked using adjustable cam sprockets.
We then fit our own inlet manifold and a pair of 45mm Jenvy throttle bodies and top feed injectors, not only do these look got they sound superb. To get this package running correctly we use a programmable ECU to replace the original PCM we have found OMEX to run them very good giving extremely good results of 200bhp+.
