KEY PROGRAMING
The ignition system on all moderns
Fords uses a system known as PATS Passive Anti Theft
System this is a small transponder fitted inside your
ignition key. When you insert your key into the ignition
and turn the key to the first position it will check
to insure this is the correct key for the car if it
is the vehicle will start. A maximum of 8 keys may be
programmed to your vehicle.
DTC’s
Diagnostic trouble codes are faults
that develop on your car and are logged on the PCM,
on most modern cars there is a light that will illuminate
informing the driver there is a problem this light is
called a MIL Malfunction Indication Lamp. If your MIL
light comes on we can locate the cause of the problem
and reset the PCM.
